Randy Jernigan has been covering the comings and goings of the rich and famous for more than a decade as a celebrity reporter.

A talented author, Randy infuses his work with a kind humor, warmth, and a sense of fairness that has endeared him to a whole new generation of readers and has made him one of the most widely read writers of his time.

Randy Edward Jernigan was born in El Campo, Texas September 7, 1961 and raised in the small southern town of Milton, Florida, a north west Florida farming and lumber town Randy's ancesters helped found in the early 1700's. In 1982 Randy left his Florida home to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Utah. After his missionary service Randy attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he studied creative writing and began writing professionally.

Randy has freelanced for some of Americas most widely read entertainment industry magazines including The Star Magazine, In Touch Weekly, People, USA Today, Londons Daily Mail, The Chicago Tribune, and the list goes on and on. Randy has also produced and scripted for several television news programs including 48 Hours, 20/20, Paramounts Hardcopy," and Warner Bro‘s Extra." From 1996 to 1998 Randy hosted a syndicated radio talk show through 25 U.S. markets featuring writers, movie makers and musical artists.

Today Randy continues his freelance work as a fiction writer, features writer, and celebrity journalist. Randy has published a collection of short stories titled: This Thing Called Love: Love Stories to Gladden the Heart and Warm the Soul, published by Writers Club Press (2001). In 2008 Randy will also publish a cookbook featuring some of his own recipes, and biographies on Marie Osmond and the British Royal family for an American market. In 2007 Randy founded The Writer's Studio of Utah, an organization that develops and promotes the talents of writers. In 2008 "The Writer's Studio" began publishing works under its own imprint and went into production on "Inside the Writer's Studio," a radio program focussing on writers and the business of writing.

Randy lives in Pleasant Grove, Utah with his constant companion, his dog BJ, and spends his time writing, teaching, watching his beloved English programs on PBS, cooking, and spending as much time as possible in his favorite vacation spots, Laguna Beach, California, and the Redwoods.
